Hi
On my old rig I had a Crucial M4 SSD which I used to install Win 7 OS. When I got a new SSD I basically removed this old Crucial M4 and with the new SSD I clean installed the Win 7 OS on the old rig.
So this Crucial M4 SSD from the old rig I plugged it into an external SSD enclosure (Transcend Storejet 25S3) and plugged it into my new laptop.
Once plugged in I see 2 new drives, System Reserved (G
and Local Disk (H
which I am sure is from the Crucial M4 as an external SSD. I recognized (H
as my old rig's data etc and I did a clean reformat.
But I have this System Reserved (G
with 100MB of space (30MB used~). I badly want to format it. Can I do it? Will it affect my laptop in any way? I tried to read up on this on other forums etc but they always recommend to just hide it in disk management. I am now using this Crucial m4 purely as an external SSD,not boot so I kinda don't want to waste this 100MB on a (G
which I won't access yet I don't dare to format it cos I scared format liao this SSD will turn useless or it kinda corrupt my laptop etc.
Please kindly advice if I can delete it?
Thanks
