Been looking at
1) Hotel Angsana Bintan
2) Mayang Sari Beach Resort
3) Nirwana Beach Club
4) Nirwana Resort Hotel
5) Bintan Lagoon Resort

Budget max S$400
Looking for a short 1night getaway from sg..
Preferably with a nice beach (if that's possible)
Shorter travel time from jetty
Has food options nearby

Any recommendations? Thanks!

I've been to Club Med Bintan, hotel & fittings are abit run-down. Still an enjoyable experience as all-in for food + drink and activities. Beach is okay, best thing was that it's private beach so no touts.

Bintan Lagoon is probably the cheaper one.

I have not been to Angsana or Bintan lagoon; I will not recommend Nirwana Beach Club which is just a hut with a bed inside. Aircon takes years to cool the tiny room, the window grill is not well fitted causing certain level of fear especially you are bathing. Since option 2, 3 and 4 are in the same area under nirwana group, i suggest to go for either Mayang or Resort hotel.

Fastest Jetty to Resort is by Mozaic Lines - Tanah Merah Jetty straight to Bintan Lagoon.

You can book the ferry here -

Let us know if you need good rates for the Bintan Resorts.

to tell the true.. if it not all inclusive for food and drink you did be rip off..
I been to Nirwana Resort Hotel.. food and drink equivalent to MBS or more exp.. not much thing to do.. all need to pay.. rather go bali.. consider first if you have cash to burn

Yeah. I realised all the places are not inclusive of meals? Only Club Med. But Club Med has min stay of.. a few nights? And mad expensive. But for a weekend trip of 1 night... a little wasted to go to Bali?

bintan u mean?...i tot there is only one?

ok, ive never been to bintan.. so i googled for ferries to bintan < http://www.bintanferry.com/> and saw that there were 3 terminals... my resort is in-between Bandar Bentan Telani and Bintan Lagoon Resort.

Perhaps one of them is the most commonly used one..

I'm going to Mayang Sari this Sunday, first time in Bintan too. Will update with a review if you're interested.

But now I'm wondering how much cash to bring there for 3d2n since I keep hearing that everything there is expensive. We plan to go for a massage on first and second day each, and head out to the Kelong Restaurant on second day. Everything else no plan. $300 cash too little?

Bandar Bentan Telani is the commonly used one, the Bintan Lagoon Resort one is only for servicing people going to Bintan Lagoon.
