Looking to get a new gaming rig with a budget of around 3k. Do not need monitor/keyboard/mouse

Anyone able to recommend me one?

1) What are you using this rig for?

2) List down all programs and games that you will be using with this rig.

3) State the model of the monitor that you are using.

PSU: FSP AURUM S 700W (129)
Case: CORSAIR 300R (119)
OS: WINDOWS 7 HOME PREM (120)

Total cost: $1778

Buy at PC Themes, #04-15, and ask for discounts. DIY yourself. If you can't into DIY, go to PC Care & Solution at #02-32 and ask Nigel to help you assemble for a fee.

Notes:

1) As your monitor is only capable of showing images at 1080p, a R9 290X will be just nice for your needs as the GPU is perfectly capable of playing any games at 60FPS, including Crysis 3 at max settings.

2) Even though Crysis 3 benefits from a good CPU, the performance gains from an i5 to an i7 is only a mere 7 FPS at most. Hence, this build comes with an i5 processor.

3) This build only comes with 8GB RAM as most games do not use that much RAM unless it has memory leak issues.

4) You may want to use the rest of your money saved to buy extra case fans to ventilate your system to counter the 'heatiness' of the R9 290X.

5) The Powercolor R9 290X is on sale for $688, get it now while stocks last.
