Yesterday, my 3820TG cannot start. The only light is the orange light at the front of the lappy when I connect with the power supply. Is the battery go up-lorry or my lappy?

Try taking out the battery and booting it up
If it's black screen for both scenario

Possibly your motherboard died or your laptop overheated

I have the same model laptop

Try performing a static discharge of the mainboard:

Unplug your AC adapter and remove your battery.
Press and hold down the power button for 10 seconds and then release the button.
Plug in the AC adapter again, put the battery back and power on the system.

If above cannot help, likely mainboard issue.

Still no go. Looks to me the mobo is up-lorry .. :D Battery still looks OK to me with the blue light on. Anyway, is the cost expensive to have the mobo repair or might as well get a new one.

Motherboard repair is around $150-$200 region. :)
Or you can also trade in the faulty unit.
