3. Is Wat Arun still under renovation? What's the best time to visit Wat Arun for the best view?
4. Anyone has any idea how to get to Saraburi/ Lopburi Sunflower Field? Confused after reading some blogs :s11:

Btw, what time does bkk usually traffic jam? In this case, if take BTS, will it also be very crowded?

bts would also be very crowded, just like in singapore ...
however their bts comes quite fast ...

ts, kamphet phet mrt stn exit 2 (i think) come out is the side door of chatuchak liao.

Dun take bts to mochit, come out liao need to squeeze here and there somemore need to walk like 200-300m then reach the entrance of chatuchak mkt.

I dun recommend yall go eat dinner at or tor kor. Or tor kor is a wet mkt that sells expensive stuff (according to Thais). Somemore the eatery i think yall going to eat dinner at is near the toilet. The 卖相 not very gd imho.

Instead after chatuchak mkt liao go back kamphet phet mrt take one stop back to phahon yothin find th Central Plaza exit, go Central Plaza walk walk eat dinner. This Central Plaza is HUGE! Upstairs got one giant story of eateries. Basement got yum saap 煮炒, kfc, mcd, etc, etc the sibei cheap Tops supermart foodcourt and all sorts of eateries.

ts, why is your Sat starting so late? Yall want to 慢慢来 is it. Go chatuchak go early cos dun know how the sky will behave also. Recently the climate in this region a bit siao siao. Might rain at afternoon one, esp. late pm.

And ts, avoid BTS, i see your Sat itenerary, mrt line is sufficient. MRT is faster, the 59yo got chance to find seat. BTS is crowded and wols.

One more thing about Union Mall - any reason why you want go there? It is a kids place, like our far east plaza, a lot of small shops selling young adult clothing. No need to spend more time here. Spend more time at the gigantic Central Plaza instead. Note: opposite Central plaza (same side Union Mall) is a gigantic Tesco Lotus. The foodstuff here cheaper than Big C by a bit.

What time will be good to reach? I prefer earlier too, but I thought it takes time for most stalls to open. I will cancel Or Tor Kor, spending some time in Union Mall since I will be passing there, and then head to Central Plaza as suggested. Chatuchak>Union Mall>Central Plaza>Artbox? Maybe will cancel Artbox if we are lazy to go.

8:30am~9 is a good time to reach liao. Spend 2 hours there, sweat a bit, after that head for lunch/cool down at Union Mall (1st floor has a korean style buffet restaurant quite gd spread if yall are into that), or Central Plaza.

Artbox and Chatuchak are together, settle both then go Union Mall/Central Plaza then take MRT go back down south. Btw, Chatuchak there has a JJ Mall.

I'm thinking to go Yaowarat, Sampeng Lane, and Asiatique after Wat Arun, but seems that my relatives do not want visit these places, so I was finding other places to slot in. Is there anything to do at Yaowarat besides eating?

Yaowarat is Chinatown - a lot of walking. Ppl always say go there eat shark's fin. Nothing much really. Somewhat similar to our Geylang/Chinatown, you know that kind of environment one.

Asiatique is quite far up the river from Wat Arun.
Must remember to bring umbrella/cap/hat if you're at going up & down the river. If weather is good it's blazing sun no shelter one.

Oh ya ts, I see you dun have Patpong in your plan. Go there ssrr lah, just walk past the sleazy shops can already. Down there a lot of massage also, all about 250 Baht per hour massage (give 100-200Baht as tip). Sala Daeng BTS or Silom MRT stn. Down there a lot of roadside stalls. Got night mkt also. Eat the mango sticky rice. Dun see the surrounding like dirty dirty, the food ish bery good ****. Esp. the piping hot sour soupy fish on charcoal steamboat. Can fight our Crystal Jade/DTF, no joke.

ts, why not rearrange your plan like that

Fri, since yall are at Pratunam liao.
Spend the whole of Fri at Pratunam area, Plat. Mall all those.

Sat, take MRT up to northern BKK - Chatuchak/Artbox/Union Mall/Central Plaza. Whole day here, evening back to hotel?

Sun, Silom area, dinner at Sala Daeng area, walk walk Patpong night mkt, etc. massage.

Just a suggestion

When yall are at northern Bangkok - in between Union Mall and Central Plaza is a mega pedestrian bridge. You may be able to see this Elephant Tower. The Tesco Lotus is the one I'm talking about - just oppo. Central Plaza.

Btw, any other Big C at other places that I will be visiting? Only know of the one in Pratunam area, where many stocks are gone when I went at night during my first trip.

There is Big C near Thailand Cultural Centre MRT station
