[Help] Build Mid-range Gaming Rig

hello, this is my 3rd time building a pc and i would like some opinions on the build, whether theres better alternatives for the same price, parts that needs to swap out, etc.

mainly using it for AAA gaming for the next 4-5 years at 1080p, 60/75Hz. will NOT be overclocking or upgrading parts in the future (rather just buy a new rig after 5+ years). Would like ~3 USB ports in both back and front panels.

Budget ~$1800 or less

CPU+MOBO: Core i5-8400 + MSI B360M Bazooka (can i go with cheaper MSI or Gigabyte H310M for this? advisable?)
GPU: MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X 8GB
RAM: Gskill Ripjaws V 16gb (2x8gb) 2666mhz CL15 or Corsair Vengeance LPX 16gb (2x8gb) 2666mhz CL16 (im thinking of taking the Gskill CL15)
SSD: Samsung 860 Evo 500gb & old plextor 128 gb ssd (2 SSDs)
HDD: WD Blue 4TB & old WD blue 1TB (2 HDDs)
PSU: Corsair TX550M 550W (Can I opt for cheaper CM MasterWatt 550W or Corsair CXM 550W instead? do i need more power/watts?)
Casing: CM N200 (i dont need flashy LED lights, its distracting for me)

If u really wanna max out your settings even 5 years into future, suggest you invest in either rtx 1080ti/Titan or just manage your expectations. A 1070 isn't going to cut it for max settings down the line.

An example would be Maxwell's gtx970. Performance is roughly gtx 1060 it's release date is 2014. Right now, it could barely manage Witcher 3 at max settings 60 fps with hair works off. Not to mention the 1070 is at least 2 years old now....

For psu, you might wanna go with 650. The low end Corsair isn't really fantastic. Get either superflower(most model should work fine), evga g2/g3(whichever is cheaper) or seasonic focus/focus plus series(depending on your needs of a modular vs semi-modular psu)

Do check out Amazon prime/newegg pricing for EVGA psu/gpus. They have international warranty and you are able to send to Taiwan which is relatively light on your wallet in terms of shipping. Their pricing is really competitive even with shipping included.

Thanks. i actually dont want to lag that much since im currently using a gtx 660 from 4 years ago and the performance is horrible for current games. would it better to go for gtx 1060 6gb or just stick to gtx 1070 for the current rig?

What about the mobo? can i save on it by using a H310M? (~$40) Or is it still recommended to use B360M even if i dont upgrade in the future or utilize all 4 DIMM slots?

Honestly, just stick to whatever Mobo you like as long as you are happy with the feature sets. Since you are not overclocking, mobos not really a big issue.

I would recommend getting the best gpu which you can afford at the moment. Maybe target a 1070ti instead of 1070 if you can afford it. It costs marginally more for 1080 performance.
