Hi all,

Could I get your help to recommend me parts for building up a computer at Sim Lim?

Budget: $300 to $400 (for CPU only)
Purpose: Do work and surf internet. Not for gaming.
Additional notes:
- I have 2 hard disk from my old computer that I intend to fix onto the new PC. Is that possible? Regardless, I would still want to get a new HDD.
- Also, any recommended place to buy and assemble the computer? Based on what I read on this forums PCThemes seems reliable.

Many thanks!

Only $300-400?
Only no need HDD?
I hope you don't need Monitor.

Hi Entry Level PC,

Forgot to mention that this is for CPU only. I do want a new HDD just that I want to install my other 2 HDD too as there are data on it.

Have edited my initial post for clarity.

Thank you.

No other places.
Go PC Themes and look for Yandao Yilong.

Tradepac is for experienced people.

Hey there,

Thanks alot for this. Do you have other possible builds just in case pcthemes doesn't have the parts?

Fuwell, Videopro.

Since you already have a rough idea how much this set up is gonna cost, you won't get chopped also.

the best is go during weekday after lunch and go get quotation from shop like Cybermind, Videopro, PCthemes and Fuwell are good for beginner DIY.

Take note to ask for the aftersales service, it can be ranging for 7 days to 1 years.

Tradepac is considered one of the cheapest shop in sls but is for the more old bird.

Didn't think of the aftersales part, thanks for highlighting. Is it like some warranty and how much do we have to pay for it?
