Hi guys. I have finally had enough and decided to try building my own gaming pc. I made a mistake and bought an alienware x51. Shitty pc broke in less than a year. I blew almost 5 days leave just waiting for technicians to come and fix during weekdays. So they changed motherboard and graphics card. Less than a year after that same problems are resurfacing. So now its either I go al qaeda on their hq or just move on.

Anyway long story short, my budget is about 1500 range. I already got 23" viewsonic monitor.
I am open to suggestions so hit me up with what you got. Let me know if I should also change my monitor kay? Dont let up.

Games are almost everything on steam but I spend most of my time on dota2. I certainly do not need the best but it should last me for the next 2-4 years.

P.S. is there a respectable shop I can send the x51 for diagnosis?

While playing games my pc will automatically restart. Then it started restarting even when just playing youtube videos. Recently there is a problem with the bios. My remedy right now is using uefi and not legacy when I boot. Screen sometimes turns blank (hang) and I am forced to restart. When it works I am praying it doesnt restart again. Usually after the first restart, I can play games as per normal until I shut it down.

$1500 can get you something powerful enough to game on Crysis 3 and BattleField 4 in (near) max glory on Full HD that also looks hot like your $2000+ gaming beast:

CPU+MB: Intel Core i5-4440 + ASRock B85 Fatal1ty Killer @ $345
RAM: G.Skill RipJaws-X DDR3-1866 CL10 8GB Dual Channel Kit [Red] @ $115
GPU: PowerColor R9-280X 3GB PCS+ @ $438
SSD: Crucial M500 240GB @ $175 (t258jgn)
HDD: Western Digital Blue 1TB @ $72
ODD: Samsung 24X CD/DVD Writer [OEM] @ $21
PSU: FSP Aurum S 500W [80 Plus Gold] @ $85
CASE: Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 @ $139
OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit [OEM] @ $115

Total: $1505

Buy others from Tradepac, #05-18.

2-4 years down the road that should become a mid-range mainstream performance PC.

Did you encounter any bluescreen before com restarts? And can you also check for the error in the following?

The program may be able to pinpoint down to the specific errors that cause all the restarts.
