Need some help with building a low end gaming pc. Budget would be about $800+? Hope to play most games at 60fps since my current one runs about 50fps on low-medium settings. Also should I go for overclocking?

Download:

http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html

Run it. And show us all your pc specs.

Open about a few of them and show us the motherboard, CPU, Memory and Graphics.

Screenshot the entire thing and paste here.

Also open up your PC, check what is the total wattage of your power supply.

If you can give us all this info, we can help you further and save even more money.

Then you just need this few upgrades.

But first what brand is this pc?

Im suspecting this is a branded pc.

You will need to upgrade your power supply and your graphics card.

An ssd would be nice if you willing to redo the whole windows installation.

Fsp hexa 550w ~ $69
Msi gtx 970 4gb armor ~ $505 (Buy at lazada.sg and use 18m1anniv code for a $50 max capped discount) $450
Samsung evo 850 250gb ssd ~ $180 (optional)

Most likely you can throw these and get new ones, the rest can reuse: Chassis, Power Supply, Graphics Card

Some HP motherboards are proprietary and can only work with their psu. The mb doesn't have the 24 pin connector.

Yup looks like a HP matx case. PSU is default one and doesn't look like have 6pin/8 pin for GPU. Also not sure if mobo BIOS support third party graphic card as I read on forums some people have problem detecting. ( this is unverified and as said not sure) . hope the pros can come in suggest. Anyway will need to change case as unable to fit full length graphic card. Only low profile ones into the case. Edit: from google of main board based on similar question from tomshardware seems like the foxcon 2ada will support other graphic card. Hopefully there is no BIOS restriction by hp
