Haven't moved to win10 yet, dunno if it might be a growing pagefile or hibernation file?

You can use something like windirstat or treesize free to find out where all the space is allocated:

Just read something about System Protection: http://www.tenforums.com/general-discussion/8717-size-win-10-installation-seems-growing.html

http://www.tekrevue.com/how-to-enable-system-restore-windows-10/

Use DiskSpaceFinder from IntelliConcepts to see wad is hogging the C drive. I suspect its cache data in AppData folder.

thanks for sharing. and it solve my problem. free up 9gb of space. thanks alot. turn out it was the system protection thing that is taking up space. turn it off and delete the sytem restore point work.

this was the link that helped

Unless you are running out of space on C drive, it's better to turn on the System Protection setting. It will save you precious time when your windows get corrupted. You can control the amount of space reserved for System Restore so it is not a big issue.

Don't disable system restore. If your PC can't boot, restore takes 1min. If u reformat and reinstall everything takes more than 30min
