Help, can't boot, no display.

My 3 year old AMD Phenom II PC as no display when power up. Does not beep too notnor any post of ram count etc. The motherboard is light up and fans are turning.

I have tried these already:
- brought motherboard to Corbell and tested ok.
- swap another working CPU to motherboard
- swap power supply
- swap RAM from a working PC
- reset CMOS
- disconnect all harddisk, audio, USB, just attached keyboard only.
- remove graphic card use on board graphic

All above done individually, one item swap at a time. Despite all above, still no display not beep sound.
I have run out of ideas what to swap for testing. Any suggestion please?

Got check monitor or the cable?

Yes..... tested monitor on another computer. Monitor and cable are ok.

Monitor as two inputs, blue coloured and white coloured connector. The two connectors are attached to graphic port and toggle between "Analog" and "Digital" mode but both failed to display anything in the problematic PC.

I have assembled this AMD PC by myself..... sight.... can't narrow down the fault.....

Try connect only either the DVI or VGA cable. Do not connect both.

Try VGA on both the iGPU and discrete GPU, then try DVI on both too. 1 at a time as jtjt00 mentioned.

Thank you for the assistance, just tried single connection using motherboard VGA display adepter, unfortunately, no display. Then disconnect VGA and connect HDMI cable. Still no display.... The HDMI cable is working as tested in the other PC. I am clueless........

Guess what you can do is test HDD on another pc..

Else, format HDD..

All else fail, I also dunno.. :x

Only the USB keyboard is attached to the motherboard. None of the Hard disk is attached, not even DVD writer is connected.

I may try taking out the motherboard from the casing and remove all connection to the casing and use a screw driver to start up the motherboard. Just like in the service centre, how the technician do it.

Try change internal psu power and sub-power cables to mobo? Maybe loose liaoz or slightly spoil liaoz?

TS, you tried 1 piece of memory at a time? Swap if no go?

By right, TS should bring these items to Corbell:
1. CPU
2. Motherboard
3. Memory
4. GPU

I tried with 1 RAM, also Two. Best part is, no RAM also did not beep.

I am going try another power supply (600W) although I have already tested it with 480W one.

Maybe CPU spoil liao or mobo. if HDD spoil I think it will still have display.

Since swapping RAM still cannot boot, either RAM is okay or both RAM byebye liao.

Or worst case scenario, all spoil.

Comp inhale too much haze? >: (haha joking here >.<)

3 years liao if find any parts spoil liao I suggest you get a new PC le.

Test with a confirmed working Power Supply, 600W. Motherboard light up but failed to post.

Migrated the CPU and RAM to another older AMD CPU and tested CPU and RAM are ok.

I have two AMD CPU and are of close spec. That is why I can swap CPU, RAM, PSU and test. But motherboard tested ok by Corbell, in front of me.

ah...... I still love my AMD 4 core CPU and MSI motherboard. Such a lovely PC do die at a young age. lol.... I don't even know die of what nature.
