I was playing with some overclocking.

I kept increasing till the point when after the PC reboot itself, no output from screen. Everything (CPU fan, etc) boot up fine are running
I tried the on board vga port but its still the same.

Is the CPU dead???
NEED HELP!!!

use some backup bios quick restore or something if your board supports it. IF not reset the biols using the header on the mobo directly. refer to your mobo manual on which switches to use.

Thanks. I tried the CMOS battery removal method and it worked. Nearly p!ss myself when this stuff happen. Shouldn't have gone overboard when overclocking

as long as u dont go overboard, ie. o/c incrementally
the cpu chip will not die instantly. just clear cmos and go back to the previous clock and test for stability
