Managed to get a brand new T3 for $150 off Carousell, and I love it. Heard many issues about the control pod so I'm not using it to control volume, using my keyboard volume instead.
You can get Z623 at 199 from Fuwell, or I think Cybermind is carrying T3 for 219 too. Wanted to try the M50W but it takes up quite alot of space on my desk, not to mention quite alot more expensive considering my T3 purchase.
i had the T3 for 3 days and return it to the marina square shop (it has closed since then. pity).
i find that the T3 bass is way too boomy. Played several Flac files over it and the bass is just overwhelming the vocals. I also find the bass to be 'separated' from the speakers. don't find them playing out in unison.
I have the creative T40II for a few months now and to be honest, it is just so way off from my previous Audioengine A5 (i sold it because i need the moolah). I ran through some flac music files and the speakers can't play the instrument properly. The drums, bass guitar, and other instruments just jumbled up into some messy bass.
I have to say 2.1 speakers like t3 is great for movies and gaming, where most of the time you just need the blasting, booming, effect to make you feel immerse in the experience.
If music is your thing, and I mean music in the very musical way, instruments, vocals and all, not most mainstream kpop and hip hop where they use a lot of electronic sounds, normal computer speakers are just so off. You will definitely need to spend a lot to get something decent.
On a side note, please don't get swans. They are really, really ugly.
