Hi HWZ peeps,

My computer starts to reboot suddenly at different times, whenever, I play games like GRID AutoSports, CS:GO, Dying Light, Sims 4 and even Euro Truck Sim 2. Dirt 3 was even worse, not even 2 seconds in, cfm will restart.

However, i can play games like LoL, Dota 2, MineCraft and Jade Empire with no problem.

Why and how to fix it?

I heard about overheating, so I tried programs to monitor the tempature, such as CoreTemp, SpeedFan and HWMonitor. I used HeavyLoad to test out the computer. Strangely, Max temp was 65~67C, and won't crash after a hour of testing. I tried running it during playtesting, i didn't catch any value higher than 67C before it sudden reboot. :/

My computer is custom built and was from last year, and the issue starts from 5 months back.

PC Specs:
i5-4570@3.2GHz
RAM: 8 GB
OS: Win 7 Home Prem
GPU: Nvidia GTX760 (MSI Twin Frozr (OC?))
MoBo: MSI H87-G43 Gaming
HDD: Toshiba 1TB
PSU: Corsair VS650
(Please tell me what more info to add in)

Thank you for reading, and giving advice ( if you reply me :D)!

If both CPU & GPU temperature is fine, could be your PSU. Try get another PSU to test.

Corsair? I think you better get a Seasonic PSU and swap.

I had a Corsair PSU once. It failed within 6 months of usage. Then I switched to Seasonic. It lasted me till now for four years. :)

Furthermore, you need to clean your rig once a month to prevent dust from clogging the cooler fans inside. Basic preventive maintenance.

Try to swap RAMs. My brother had the same issue as yours and one RAM stick was the culprit.
