(Help) Computer screen freezes up

Hi guys I need some help with a 6 years old pc here. Not sure what is happening nowadays.

Sometimes I tried to startup the computer the screen doesn't show it is booted up but I heard through my speakers that it is being booted up. I forced restart it and it managed to boot up the screen the 2nd or 3rd time.

Nowadays I have been having both the booting screen up problem and my computer randomly freezing at windows loading page.
Sometimes when the windows managed to successfully boot up into the desktop page it hangs after a few minutes.

I tried reformatting it not successful because it keeps hanging. Appreciate you guys help thank you.

6 years it's time to change pc lar. You have operated most of your component to twice their expected life of 3 years.

I believe it's your gpu and hdd dying from the symptoms you mentioned. Suggest you build a new one liao. Just saying.

Apologies just came back from overseas last evening.
I managed to boot into windows and reformatted the system cause I suspect it might be windows corrupted or something.
I ran HD Sentinel and Speccy it shows the components are healthy but unsure whether it is accurate a not.
It works fine last night for about 3 hours just until this morning.

Booting up is fine just that this morning I had random freezes after I boot into windows for about 45mins while randomly surfing the web.

Could it be the PSU is dying? Cause the PSU is going to be 7 years soon. Are there any other ways to pinpoint down the problem? Sorry but appreciate your inputs
I don't really want to overhaul the entire system because it is still quite powerful for simple usage and gaming like LoL at 1080p max settings.
Unless there is no choice...

Hang & freeze could be ram problem, try one piece. Swap if problem persists.

Try changing the cmos battery first CR2032 if u have not change it for these 7 years. Next repaste the thermal paste on your cpu, likely dried up. After doing these two things reboot your pc and check, if still the same, isolate the ram one by one.

Hi all I have tried resitting the memory. Plus I also stress testing the memory and CPU with prime 95 and it did not freeze and reboot. I checked temperature for CPU during stress Non OC is about 60 degrees max.

However the moment I stress test the GPU with furmark after about 5 seconds it freezes and reboots. Can I deduce from this that either the GPU or PSU that is causing the problem? Could it be because the PSU is old thus cannot supply enough power or voltage? I have tried playing some games such as LoL it did not crash. But only furmark...

Sadly I do not have spare PSU to test it out...

Any of your parts could be dying, to debug u need lots of spares and time. Consider changing a new PC. Companies normally do tech refresh every 3 years. Urs long overdue liao. Just saying
