HELP.. cpu freeze and slowing down

Recently had some issue with my pc, when trying go wake pc it will totally froze. And the whole system feels laggish.. And i notice abnormal from my 1tb storage drive. I partition it into 3 300gb drives. 1 of the drive has nothing inside but shows close to full and the other one had my windows backup also showing close to full. After deleting the backup both drives became empty lol. And then the sleep froze issue stopped. And when gaming i one had really bad frame drops on overwatch. Have check rams using windows diagnostic and it seems fine.. so i wonder whats the issue.. is it my 1tb failing? Its about 3.5years old. My main boot drive is a zotac 240 less then 1 yrs old. Gpu about 6mths old zotac 1060 6gb.

Might wanna upgrade mobo cpu n ram to ryzen 5 haha.

Look like your WD 1TB is having bad sectors. Download HDTune and do a error scan (do not check Quick scan) for bad sectors.

So u also thinks its the 1tb having issue? Currently on a haswell 4570. Shld i upgrade to ryzen 5? My com abt 3.5 yrs old now

Sometimes, it is HDD issue that causes computer to hang/be unresponsive... because the system is waiting for HDD to do its things but HDD almost mati liao, cannot do fast.

Plug out the HDD first and see if PC still having issues..

Your GPU 1060 6GB is just nice to match well with i5-4570...
No need to upgrade to Ryzen 5. You will not see much improvement in gaming.

However, if you use productivity applications regularly (i.e photo/video editing, running VMs) then Ryzen 5 is a good choice to upgrade.

I see. So i either remove the hdd power or sata cable can alr right.. but got feel wan change leh.. ddr3 1600 mhz in some game canot compare with 3200 mhz ram speed.

I scanning with hd tune now... 70% alr.. no bad sector yet.. now abit blur duno wad issue

You're using Windows 10,

Don't reformat...

Do not use windows diagnostic to test memory. try using memtest. also, if you have a spare power supply, try changing it.. also check your bios, cpu idle c state.. best is to reset to default settings.

I did a windows 10 refresh. And install back all the programs.. seems to work properly now
