Hi All,

I need help in identifying what's wrong with my cpu

For the past few days, my system has been hanging at random interval.
The Red HD light will be bright red and not blinking when it happens.
Sometimes it goes to the blue screen with alot of words which i don't understand (I'm not good in IT)
When i restart my cpu, sometimes it works, sometimes it says [Insert boot media in selected boot device]. I have to keep restarting to boot my system.

Now, my system is completely dead. When I power on, it just keep on auto rebooting. The fan will run and stop, and run and stop again.
It's just won't boot up anymore. It happened before, but when I gave a slight kick to my cpu, it will boot up, but not this time.

I suspect there are something wrong with my SDD, i'm not using any HDD.
Can some experts kindly identify what's wrong with my system so I can fix it. Many thanks!

The symptoms given by you sounds like a faulty SSD, which causes OS to crash and giving those error messages. And the auto reboot is a case of your boot disk (ssd which contains your OS) not being detected at startup.

Are u still able to detect the SSD inside your bios/ UEFI? If no, then its probably time to RMA it, but before that u can plug in and test a HDD with the same SATA channel to rule out any possibility of faulty MB. However, if you can see the SSD then you can try to repair the boot partition (google for info) or worst reformat the whole ssd but you lose everything not backup prior to the crash.

Hi Red Panda,

Could you elaborate more about "Are u still able to detect the SSD inside your bios/ UEFI" I'm not quite sure what it means.

As of right now, when i boot up, my screen is pitch black, and it will just keep rebooting with no image on my monitor

You usually press the "delete" or F1 button during bootup to go inside the bios/ UEFI. Once inside, you look for storage, HDD, boot tab or similar words (depending on your MB) and see if the name/ brand of your SSD can be detected. Check your MB instruction for further details as each brand varies.

If you can't even see any message when you powered up, then you might have other problems. Better to bring down to a PC repair shop for further troubleshooting.
