Hi guys,

Early this morning while i was playing a game, my screen went off stating that it enters into power saving mode and then i could hear the sound of my cpu hanging thru the headset. I turn it off manually by pressing and holding off the power button and switch it on again however this time, the monitor is not displaying anything except again it says entering power saving mode. The fans are running, just no display, i went on to do some research and found out it could be that my motherboard is dead or dying.

I tried removing the cmos battery, ram, gpu, ssd but whenever i switched on the cpu, no beep sound were heard except the fans that are spinning. Did not bother checking the PSU because i have only one and do not know how to test it.

Can i confirm with you guys that my motherboard is officially dead?

Thanks!

1) Pull out your GPU, plug monitor to your mobo, and see if got picture come out using iGPU.

2) Got spare GPU? Spare monitor?

1) Did it but still no picture too. :(
2) No spare GPU and i did swap my monitors but to no avail. :(

No spare GFX sadly. :(
Bring your rig to PC Care & Solutions, #02-32, Sim Lim Square, and have Nigel take a look at your rig and test the parts in the rig, see what he has got to say. Can also discuss replacement/repair options with him as well.

connect only the power, front panel, CPU , 1 pc of RAM and graphics card to the motherboard and switch it on.
If the PC works then reconnect your other devices (Switch it off first!) one by one until you find out which one is causing the problem.
but if the PC does not turn on, it could be corrupted BIOS, Corrupted Start up files, corrupted hard drive (containing startup files) or a broken motherboard.

Is that the same way if i were to take out piece by piece and switching it on after a piece is taken out because i did that and still no picture is being display nor a beep sound being heard. :/

Alright man, will take that down. Thanks for the suggestion. :)
