My setup hasn't changed for months but all of a sudden, last night games freeze and initially didn't know what's wrong but I suspect Cpu overheat 93deg when even fifa also cannot play.
Now things got worse... Even start up from cold to win10 temp shows 89deg.. I am shocked.
I reseat the cooler and reapply thermal and still same. What's strange to me is that it seems like an intermittent problem as afternoon I played Bf1 for 40min wo any issues.

Could it be cooler spoil? I did start to hear weird noises last 2 days but not sure the noise comes from the cooler or not. But during overhearing the cooler was super hot so I guess the liquid inside is boiling to a certain extent :D

How ah.. ..

cooler master 212(~$50 i think), or just go for corsair AIO water coolers, 120mm should be good enough... but h100i v2 also not bad

Cooler is a mechanical part. Very seldom spoil. If the cooling fan is work, then try to reapply heat paste.

Bro u referring to air cooler. OP is referring to aio liquid cooler and the tubes are actually very prone to leaking. The pumps are also known to grow weaker over time.

Yup. I experienced the same thing before too. It was actually the AIO cooler's fan inside that failed to spin and let the water move.

You had best avoid even using the PC to not risk damaging the CPU from Overheating especially on start-up prior to installing a new AIO cooler.

There should be 2 pipes connected to the CPU. If one pipe is super hot and the other is not, then it's the pump problem.

Thanks.. both pipe temperature was ok according to touch.. but the reservoir itself was very hot as if the water inside is boiling. as part of troubleshooting i twist and adjust the pipe and i could hear some flushing sound inside...

since it's liquid, i think better not fool around and just replace it LOL...
