I was running my 4690k at 4.6ghz on stock cooler at idle/load about 80/100 degree for a month :s13:

Sell your 4670 and get the xeon equivalent instead if you want lower temps on a locked chip. No extra turbo bins available for intel chips unlike nvidia gpu so no point bringing the temp low.
Xeons run cooler meh spec for spec?!

Wah but siao stock + OC = ggrektrip

Thanks for all the reply. :s13:

I guess I will just change the thermal paste for now. Should I get MX4, Silver 5 or MasterGel Maker Nano?

For TS's case I see no point since not overclocking.

One must be adventurous enough to go that route. Once you delid, whatever issues you have with the chip, you're on your own. You don't blame the delidder if you cannot get the temp you expect.

My 4790K and 6700K was delided by Roy BNIB because YOLO. :D
