Hello bros,

Need a quick help regarding my desktop computer.

Initially I wanted to clean my GPU fan, but as I'm not very well versed in IT stuffs, I accidentally took out the motherboard's fan/heat sink instead. After putting everything back, I realised I cannot turn on my computer. The motherboard fan jerks for a while and spins, shortly after 4 beeps can be heard and it stops and repeats again.

Any bros know whats the main issue here? Is it the motherboard fan/heat sink :s11:thingy?

Thanks in advance! :s12:

Ram poor contact with the ram slots.

Take them out and clean the gold contact on the modules using an eraser before installing them back to the respective slots.

You took out the motherboard's heat sink? I am assuming you meant CPU's heat sink and wonder if you reapply any thermal paste...

Yes I think its the CPU's heat sink. No, i did not. Will it be a huge problem if i did not? I do not have any thermal paste with me :s11:

Easier for my CPU now to get fried?

Your temps will certainly go up. Better get some thermal paste ASAP.
