In the morning everything was still ok. Now as I speak, apparently there's no sound coming our from my speakers. Speakers is 100% functioning. tested music, youtube, start-up, still no sound despite restarting computer.

However, I notice there's a deep drowning tone coming out somewhere from the motherboard area, i don't think it's coming from the PSU though. The tone is intermittent. When I power on (without starting windows/booting up), this tone will juz come and go randomly.

Any idea what's the issue here? motherboard problem? PSU problem? graphic card problem? or hardisk? Thx

was just about to send this thread , but when i tested again, sound came out! this time, and for the 1st time, my music volume is distorted, no matter how i control the volume, its SUPER soft and distorted. omg. what is happening?

Isolate issue first, check if it's speaker problem since easiest to test. Just plug out the speaker audio jack and plug into a mp3 player or phone etc. and play some music to see if the sound works. If nothing wrong then move to next possible cause..

I assume your rig is >>> on right with a sound card?

Can you activate the on-board sound from your bios(if it isn't turned on) and install drivers and try see if on board sound works? Remember to plug in the speaker jack to the mobo green port once you finish installing it. Driver just get from your brand website, ASUS - P6T SE, choose OS and then audio tab and install. Since you're at it might as well just uninstall your Creative drivers. Then double check at control panel>sound>playback tab and see if the right drivers and speaker are selected as default device etc.

In any case, if your on-board sound does work, then its high chance it's your sound card causing issues. Just install a new set of drivers from Creative and test again see if the same intermittent problems persist, if yes then most likely the card ki siao siao liao going to die already lol:s22:

Edit: TS ah, only sound problems? Nothing else? and you said you heard sound coming from the mobo area? can elaborate more? Normally sound card rarely die one... Post outcome pls thanks so others can help too
