Hello all!
I've been getting this error daily on my brand new PC. My screen would turn black for 1 second then back to normal and I'll get the following error message:

"Display driver NVIDIA windows kernel mode driver, version 347.25 stopped responding and has successfully recovered"

Any pros can advise what's happening and how I can fix this please? It's heartbreaking cos my PC is less than 2 weeks old!

Specs:
Core i5
8GB RAM
Palit GTX970 Jetstream
Win 7 Enterprise

Thank you!

Hi all,
I've downloaded and installed version 347.09 driver and the error stopped for a few days..
Now it's back! Just got it a few minutes ago after I opened Guild Wars 2 :(

Possibilities:
Driver failure: reinstall drivers, clean install.
If fail,
try different GPU, if no problems then main GPU may need RMA.
If fail,
PSU fault. RMA PSU.

worst case scenario = kns nvidia drivers damage your gpu liao.
nvidia known to be making gpu killer drivers.
that's why must always google see got problem or not first before updating drivers.

What PSU are you using, and is it also 2 weeks old like the rest of your PC? I suffered from this problem for months, turned out it was my PSU slowly deteriorating and dying.

Just did a clean install of 347.09 a few hours ago.. error surfaced again, this time when browsing HWZ forums! Not even playing any games :s11:

Just got the error again... here's what i've tried:

1) clean install of 347.09 driver
2) set power to high performance, turned OFF pci express link power management
3) set physx to GTX970 instead of Auto
4) windows 7 update to service pack 1
5) set regedit TdrLevel to 8

:(

Go format your OS HDD and reinstall os and old drivers and see if error still occur.

If Yes.

As above you should try to go RMA your GPU with distro.

Trying changing the Physx setting to CPU instead of Auto
I heard this "fix" works but generally a good number of 970 users are facing this problem. Gotta wait for Nvidia to release new drivers.
