[HELP!!!] Display driver stopped responding and has recovered

Hi bros.... sorry tech newbie here and don't know anything.

Hope for bros expertise on this matter.

Recently my computer has been showing this message "Display driver stopped responding and has recovered"

and when im playing game (CSGO) my game will HANG...... very annoying and irritating

Im on a tight $$$ budget recently... or else will straight away replace gfx card on first thought. that's why come here see if the tech professional kor kor know of any software solutions or alternatives to fix this first without hastily buying a new gfx card yet.

my card is a MSI GTX 570 purchased with a new rig in 2011. Have been considered high gaming load. I played BF3 quite actively previously on high settings. and my processor is i7-2600 no over clock.

i kena this problem with my 560 too.. after that will get bsod and pc will auto restart.
i googled and the temp solution i found was to drop the gpu and memory clock rate.
so far so good for me, doing this till i get a new card.
need some pros to shed some light on this for me too

Yeah lower the core clock and memory clock because the card is no longer stable at stock clocks that's why the display driver crashes.

I wonder if this has to do with the drivers too. I remember that I persistently got this message about a year after I got my GTX 560 card (which I'm still using now) and then the problem disappear. This was about 2-3 years ago. Then this message appeared about twice a few months ago but now is gone.

That's why wondering if the fault is solely on the card or might be with the drivers too.

The issue is really most likely stability. However u can try using Display Driver uninstaller in Safe mode and reinstall your latest drivers

This is actually a very common problem - it comes and goes. As it happens randomly in different scenarios its hard to pinpoint its root cause. Most of the time for me it causes the game to freeze, followed by black screen and the error message telling the display driver has stopped working. I cant remember how it eventually resolves itself but perhaps you can try resetting Nvidia Control Panel's 3D settings to all its default settings for a start (if its not already so).

Yup, just drop the clock speed and stuff.

It happens when i played bf3 as well. I had to change it lower than the default clock speed. ?

Why not you try lower the graphic settings in CSGO. Like global shadows etc.

Erm easiest is to get a MSI utility, sth u use to tweak ur gpu settings
Google should be able to find
