Hi all, tried to assemble a new rig for the first time myself.

Specs here
i5-4460
Msi H97 Gaming 3
Msi GTX970 Gaming 4g
Cruxial MX100 256gb SSD
WD Blue 1tb
FSP Aurum S 500w
Kingston HyperX Fury 1866Mhz 2x4gb
Bitfenix Recon Fan Controller
Corsair Carbide Spec 03
Corsair AF120 LED x2
Samsung OEM DVD Drive

assembled everything, tried to turn it on. LED fans, GPU,Fan controller all power on. Motherboard LED lighting for AUDIO BOOST lights up. No post. Removed ram, no beep sounds either.
all power cables connected correctly. Cpu mounted properly too. cpu fan runs at full power for about 3-5 secs before normalizing to an appropriate level

Anyone can advice me whats going on? Kind of disheartened that my first build cant boot up. Thanks in advance

i would try to boot with the bare minimum no. of parts to establish mobo, ssd, psu is ok.

i suggest remove all parts, even gpu other than those needed to boot. no need hdd too. plug monitor direct to mobo hdmi port. try if tat works. then plug in gpu, ensure power cables are plug in gpu.

u may ignore all those fans and controllers for now.

did you connect the mbo beeper? so it will give you beep codes

try booting with only the mbo/ram/ nothing else.

Try bare minimum just mb + ram + graphics card + power and boot. If cannot try again, but this time mb not inside case, use a screw driver to start the mb. I have encounter this few times.

I think your mobo dont support that ram speed. Maybe try clearing CMOS and reseat rams?

HDMI doesn't display if you turn the monitor on after the machine has been turned on.
