Will be heading to Japan Tokyo and Nagoya
First hotel at Tokyo would be shinjuku washington hotel
But where could I get the data plan for my visit?
And can someone give me some tips on where should I visit?
Would S$500 enough for a week visit?

for a start, u can read up on places to go in japan guide:
http://www.japan-guide.com/

u can also look at our trip reports to get some ideas:http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/japan-271/compilation-trip-reports-3158981.html

and read up on this thread on how to plan:
http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/japan-271/tips-how-plan-your-trip-3553704.html

u will need to provide more details in order for others to help u. come out with a rough itinerary first. how many days at tokyo and how many at nagoya; wat are some of the places u wanna go etc

Hi there.
Thanks for the tips

I will be heading to Japan from 6th June till 13th June.
6th June night reach Tokyo. Check-in at shinjuku washington hotel one day 7th June is F&E then 8th and 9th would be at tokyo mount fuji but is tour...and after that 10th to 13th would be at Nagoya liao but Nagoya is F&E.

I am thinking should I go http://rental.cdjapan.co.jp/ to rent 7 days sim card and ask them post over to the hotel.

for just 1 week it would be better to just stick to tokyo since it is ur first visit. but since u are visiting ur relative, i guess u have to go nagoya rite.

it would be better to slip mt fuji since u only got 3 days in tokyo. going mount fuji tour leave u with only 1 day for tokyo. 1 day is not enuf to cover the main attractions in tokyo, even if u rush thru.

a super rush itinerary for best of tokyo i can think of:
early morning: tsukiji market for sushi (choose those not famous store with no queue)
morning/noon: meiji shrine, harajuku
afternoon: shibuya to see 'famous' junction
late afternoon: asakusa for sensoji shrine
evening/night: tokyo tower
night: shopping at shinjuku

not recommended though. would be better to focus on a few places and enjoy the place at a relax pace. can always come back to japan in the future
