Help for My New Gaming Rig (Mid Range)

My current rig:
Mobo: Gigabyte EP43-UD3L + Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3GHz
GPU: PowerColor 4850 512MB, spoilt then MSI N560GTX-Ti, spoilt again, then back to old Leadtek GF7800GT 256MB. FML.
RAM: Kingston DDR2 800Mhz 8GB
HDD: WD Black 640GB & 2TB
PSU: Corsair HX 520W
Case: Lian Li PC-60FW
Keyboard: Logitech Illuminated
Mouse: Logitech G5
OS: Window 7 Home Premium
Monitor: Samsung SUncMaster 2443

This rig was bought in 2009 and with the recent KO of my GPU, I am thinking of getting this chance to upgrade with SSD included. I intend to use this new rig for another 4~5 years.

This is what I am having in mind, pricing from PC Themes.

Note: I don't intend to overclock and this is 65% gaming use. Although I don't play super high end game like Crysis or BF, I don't mind getting a slightly better GPU (hence the choice below). The most GPU intensive for now is 25M raid at WOW only... (of course no more since GPU KO).

(not sure what is the diff with 4770K, less than $50 diff only)
GPU: Asus GTX 780 TI 4GB DDR5 -> $1,079
(no money to SLI)
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws-X 2133Mhz ( 8GBx2pcs ) CL9 -> $239
SSD: Samsung 840 Pro 512GB -> $745
HDD: WD Green 64MB 4TB -> $228
PSU: Corsair RM 650W Modular Gold -> $169
Case: (Intend to use back Lian Li PC-60FW, I have two now. Don't mind getting new but didn't cause don't know what to do with the two if get...)

Dont plan to overclock get i5-4570 and a h/b series mobo. if you dont play those demanding game why waste money on 780ti? 760 should be enough. 8gb ram more than enough for gaming. no game will use more than 8gb. ssd 120gb enough. Get a cheapo one like crucial m500. Samsung 840 pro not worth it unless you buying from amazon. hdd get WD blue. psu superflower hx 600w 80+gold. Rest idk.

This is waste of money if all this is gonna be on a 1080p resolution monitor.

With that budget you can easily go for 2 gpus and yet get a 1440p monitor and game with good experience.

Buying or Paying more does not mean can last. Constant upgrading = futureproofing.

8gb of ram is for gaming. 16gb is more for photoshop needs.

Desktops require constant update every 3 years or so. If you spend like 2k now, you have 1.3k more to upgrade 3 years later. And trust me, you will get a lot more for your money. H/B series is the motherboard one go mynextcom u can see what i mean. If you got the money to blow on 500gb, then do it. but u should still get a cheaper one instead of the 840 pro.

whoa 27inch monitor?! I thought my current 24 already consider big enough.. Didn't think of the 1080p vs 1440p though, will consider.

Once you go 1440p, you wont wanna go back to 1080p.

Given the size of 27inch and also 1440p, it is extremely dense. You dont even need to turn on AA to play your games.

Get Haswell i5 4670 (anything higher is for OC or i7)
GPU if you really want 1440P then at least R9 290X or 780 / 780 Ti (Since you have the budget)
Invest in a nicer monitor since you have the budget (1440P)
SSD 120GB or 256GB more than enough.

Use this setup, ts. Best for your needs. Save your extra 2k. This one is the most practical and you can actually lower the graphics card quite abit because WoW requirements is quite low.
