HELP! For New Gaming Rig!

Hi guys, i don't know if this is the right section to post so forgive me if i'm wrong. I want to build a gaming rig. My budget is $2000. It will be good if i didn't have to hit the $2000 though. My expectations of the rig is that it can play current high quality games at high quality. And that it can handle multi tasking, and room for future expansion.
If possible, it will be appreciated that the price and shop for the item is provided. Mainly because i went to SLS this few days and feel somehow like a carrot head ):. Buying from Amazon or any other online stores is okay as long as it fits the budget. Thanks in advance! Have a good day.

Ummm... How about monitor? Shld set aside at least 400 for a decent screen? No point spending 2k on a fantastic rig but have a poor screen. Maybe get a second hand cpu plus mb from one of the bros online? Step down the ssd to 120gb.

Most 24" monitors are less than $300, no need $400 for monitor unless you want 27" instead which are more than $400.

my take bro is that you spend 2k on your rig, at least have a 27inch IPS to bring out the beautiful graphics- but thats just me. after all, we spend all our time looking at the screen, not at the components right? but thats just me.

Im using a 30inch dell off a amd-4100 rig, but I am going 7970 and 256gb crucial SSD. using a bare basics 80+psu. thats it. I prioritise my gpu, sdd and large screen lol. as and when good deals come I upgrade the rest slowly.

1000w psu is overly killed...... and if TS want 240gb ssd, faster go get from convergent online store at $239.

Anyway ts 2k cant make it for a 27inch. Probably 23inch is the best option out there for a 1080p solution. The screen will depends on what you really like. Glossy screen or anti glare aka matte surface screen. For me I fell in love with gloss screen. Best is go down take a look first.

Gloss screen type dell s2340L. Non gloss screen U2312HM.
