My specs

Cpu intel core i5 3470
Mob AS ROCK By 5 pro 3-M

I want to replace them budget below $350, I don't want to send my pc for repair too expensive($50) just to diagnose the faulty parts I rather buy new parts to try.

I tried remove ram pc still either can't boot up(USB light light up then faded away) or keep rebooting(USB light is on all the way while my pc keep rebooting)

Tested with a spare PSU same problem

When I pay with the reset pin pc can boot up (reboot loop within 3 or 4 sec)

Hard drive healthy(claimed by software test)

Graphic stress test passed

Well, since you are going to SLS anyway, why not just take your SAF fieldpack, put in your mobo+CPU+PSU and go to PC Care & Solutions and have Nigel take a look at your mobo?

If your mobo is confirmed to be spoilt, can go and look for another B75 mobo in SLS. A B75 mobo should cost around $100+ if there are still stocks of B75 mobos. If there are no stocks of B75 mobos left, can also look for H77 or Z77 mobos, cheap ones should cost about $200+ at most, don't go for the expensive Asus ones.

And in case if it is the CPU that is spoilt, think there might be some i5 3470 CPUs left, no harm asking.

All the parta get from Nigel diagnose cost how much? Actually I feel like buying parts to upgrade and in the mean time repair it (Trial and error)

Nigel would normally let his customers decide how much to pay him for his services, but I think about $20-$30+ would do since he has to make a living as well.

Your case got 7 expansion slots, right? (Just to double confirm.)

Then very easy, MSI B85-G41 PC Mate + i5 4460 for $357. Cheapest B85 board in the local market, ATX sized somemore.

Yes 7 slot at the back, will it be reasonable if I buy extra fan to cool my pc ? Because I got this feeling my motherboard overheated

I done a test on Nov starting it's already 50 degrees for my cpu

Is that load temps or idle temps? Also, motherboards should not overheat unless you are doing OC.

I can't remember I remember seeing cpu 50 (I just switch on my pc)

I just saw a mob i5 b85-g43 + 4460 $ 372 worth buying? Price from Tradepac
1) The MSI B85-G43 Gaming? Well, see if you think the red and black theme, the premium grade audio capacitors on the mobo (for supposely improved sound) and the Killer ethernet (for supposely less lag, but people have commented that it actually does not work in practice) is worth your $$$ or not.

2) Can remember where did you see the CPU 50? 50C is awfully high for idle temps, maybe it could be overheating issues.

Can try to buy some thermal paste ($15-18), a cheap aftermarket cooler (optional, cheap Deepcool ones are avaliable for $10-$30) and a bottle of isopropyl alcohol from your nearest Guardian shop (70% purity good enough, for wiping off your thermal paste) and see if reapplying the thermal paste helps.

So b85 g41 is good enough already right?

I used Speccy to see my specs the beside cpu show 50C

Last night I clean and refill the thermal paste

1) In my opinion, a basic mobo like the B85-G41 PC Mate is good enough. You can choose to get a premium board if you want to, though, just that opinions on sound systems/hardware can vary widely among different prople and that the ISP is more likely to play a greater part in determining the quality of the internet connection than the type of LAN used.

2) OK, guess the thermal paste didn't work out.
