[Help] GPU shows no signals after nvidia driver install?

Hi folks,

can anyone help me with this? My old GPU died and I bought a new GPU MSI GTX 1660 Super.

I can boot normally before i install the driver, but after i install the driver, my monitor will show no signal after windows logo.

Upon restarting, the signal will come back, and i get an error 0xc00000f, and result in a boot loop

i have had multiple system restore. Is this an issue of insufficient power? my PSU is Seasonic SS-620M, is 620W insufficient for my setup?

It could also be that you plugged your DP into the 2nd or 3rd ports.
You'll be surprised to know that there is actually a sequence as to which which port should come first if you intend to use multiple monitors.

In my multiple monitor configuration, it will weirdly show the boot screen from both screens and then the windows logo boot up will be shown on the second monitor and then finally the Windows sign-in page will show back to the main monitor.
I wondered why. But it was because by right, the second monitor was plugged in to a port that is sequenced earlier than my main monitor.
So the only reason it went back to my main monitor was because Windows loaded up the configuration that I save on it which was make my main monitor my Primary monitor.
But the translation from hardware is to take the second monitor(which was my main) on the port to be the primary monitor.

Finally, when I switched the ports around, I no longer encountered the changing of screen displays during boot and it now prioritizes my main monitor since I put it at a port that takes priority on the GPU.

Check to see if you have multiple cables plugged in. Then secondly, try to use the port on the centre or the other end.

Worst comes to worst, after the boot screen and it disappears, try pressing win+P to switch displays on Windows blindly.
Eg. press win+p, let go and then press p and press enter. The first change is duplicate. So it might cause your monitor to show the same screen as what it might originally be outputting to.

If the above methods doesn't work, then please provide more information so others can determine what exactly is wrong with the setup.

I dun have a multi monitor set up as of now,

But you are right that the hdmi port is the 2nd port on the gpu.. my monitor is a hdmi monitor

i dun have a dp to hdmi converter, will try win +p when i get home

Doesnt work with win + p

Tried DP to hdmi port converters to all 4 ports to no avail

After reinstalling the driver and upon restart and windows start up repair my c drive disappear and became g drive instead...

How i connect my pcie gpu cable

try boot into safe mode and uninstall and reinstall your driver?

Hi all,

I finally fixed it

Resolution, swap pcie slot , used ddu to clean drivers and redownloaded /reinstalled driver in safe mode

If it happens again - Turn off your computer. Unplug the cable running from your monitor to your PC and plug it back in, making sure the connection is firm. ... Replace your monitor with another monitor if possible. If the "No Input Signal" error still appears, the problem does not rest with the cables or the monitor, but with your PC.
