[help] HP ENVY x360 vs Surface Book 2

hi guys. laptop noob here. can help me with which is a better laptop for it's price? which lappy processor is better?

i kinda shortlist till the below 2. surface book 2 seems old, but on discount now. my usual activities is normal office works, a bit of PS, some casual gaming. e.g. lol, ccg like magic, hearthstone.

When I click on the Microsoft site, the cheapest available version is 2k+.

I would choose envy 13. New cpu = faster and more efficient. The only catch is no tb3. Not a big deal if you don't use it.

Surface book 2, at least the one i saw was i5-7500. That's 3 Gen old.

thanks when i click on the ms link above. it links to the surface book 2 promo. $1770. it should be 8th gen i5 if i am not wrong. yup. i don’t need thunderbolt 3.

but seems both are oos for now! hp comes with 512gb ssd though...although i don’t need that much. 256gb pretty suffice for me..

also why u getting 8th gen processor.. that is so old... and not as efficient..

The HP Envy X360 laptops are quite popular & value for money IMO.
I managed to get the Ryzen 4700 model from Gaincity @ Funan recently when HP online store is OOS.
The performance is quite good. I tested it on Battlefield 3, Titanfall 2 & the integrated Radeon GPU can push it to run at 50-60fps . As in any ultra-portable laptop, it does get hot sometimes when you push the CPU/GPU to work harder.
