I used to study in MDIS & I have defer not one but twice successfully base on exam reason.
The SAF100 that I defer twice is not normal ICT in my unit but my Route of Advancement (ROA) course conducted by a SAF school arrange by my unit.
So it is really up to your unit & not base on what school you are studying.

SIT is a govt university isnt it? i think its group with nus/ntu and smu no?
