Help identifying beep code

The motherboard model is ASUS B85-PLUS.

Beep code is 8 low-pitch beep followed by 1 high-pitch beep. The high-pitch beep is the same as the one heard when there are no problems.

Computer now cannot boot.


Please help identify what the beep code means. Any help in resolving the problem are also appreciated. Basic specs:

CPU: Intel i5 4570
RAM: Corsair 2x4GB
GC: ASUS GTX750Ti OC 2GB

1 Long, 8 Short on AMI BIOS says display test failure.

1) Take out GTX 750Ti, connect monitor to mobo and see if can boot.

2) If can boot, insert GTX 750Ti and use different cable to connect to another display output on GTX 750Ti and see if can boot. Repeat this step for all display outputs on the GTX 750Ti.

Should be GPU memory test failed.

troubleshooted the problem:

Remove GTX750Ti and connect DVI to integrated graphics

-> cannot boot

Remove PCI peripheral card (TV card)

-> can boot (Hurray!)

Put back TV card (to confirm the problem)

-> still can boot

Remove TV card and put back GTX750Ti

-> still can boot

Put back TV card (basically put back everything)

-> also can boot


Conclusion: Problem unsolved. But the computer is working (at least for now). Any thoughts guys? Hantu?

Improperly seated TV card, maybe?

As long as can use can already, don't need to think so much.
