Anyone can help me with installing windows 7?

I will bring my harddisk and windows7 installation disk.

Do not know why, when I boot from the cd and try to install windows, it automatically goes into repair mode without going into the selection manual. I am lazy to bring my entire CPU, as it is rather heavy. I can install the drivers myself.

For this matter, I have tried call Microsoft helpline, but they are not helpful. They say my windows are OEM version, and I need to go to my dealer.

Sure you have the windows 7 installation disks (OEM) + product key?
Not the recovery disk?

Make sure your new HDD is empty and formatted.
Set the M/B Bios to boot from cd/DVD. [which is the win7 installation disks(OEM)]

Follow the instructions ...to install the OS

Yes, I have both the installation disk and product key. I am 100% sure it is not recovery disk, cuz I have custom-built my current computer at sim lim, and there are no recovery disk given. That's why I lost faith in Microsoft when they insist that I go back to my dealer, such as dell, or whatever company, which in my case, is not applicable.

As for harddisk, initially I tested using a re-formatted old harddisk. As I keep having this problem, I just purchase a WDblack7200rpm 2TB harddisk, but the same happen.

For your information, I know how to install windows, and have done it numerous time when I reformat my computer. However, I have never came into such a problem. Yes, I boot from cd, which firstly load the windows files "the black screen with a white meter scale at the bottom of the screen". But after that, the problem comes. Instead of going into the instruction screen, it show the windows logo as if the computer as an OS running, and after that the screen turns black, then white, then red/blue/green, and keep on looping endlessly.

I have try install windows xp, but it can be install successfully. However, as I am unable to get all the updates, it cannot function properly. Thus, i don't think such problem is cause by another faulty components. To be precise, I have try to install using windows 7 premium, and ultimate, both have the same problem. Can anyone advise me how to go about it?

Original Windows 7 installation disks (OEM) ... standard type + product key? To Desktop & NOT on notebook
Has you ever tested this installation discs work before?
NOT upgraded version
NOT amended Windows 7 installation disks (OEM) + product key?
NOT from Windows 7 installation disks [OEM & tied to product brand computer] + product key

No problem on the CD/DVD Drive?
In BIOS, set AHCI for HDD

Try to download the win7SP1 ISO from microsoft web, Burn the disc.
Try to install

Yes, original OEM version which I purchased at sim lim when I ask them to custom built the computer.
Yes, the harddisk spoil, cannot boot up, thus need to replace with new harddisk for the same desktop.
Yes, I have reformatted my computer a couple of times previously, thus have used the same cd to install.

Don't think there is any problem with cd rom, otherwise it will not even boot up. As mentioned, I try to install windows xp, I have no problem with that.

How to set AHIC to HDD?

Will try to download and try. Thanks
