Hi! Im gona set up a diy rig in few days time, so kindly hope anyone would help me on it. Mostly use for gaming in latest/"high end" MMORPG, and also if possible a mid to high setting on BF4. I do not intend to OC,SLI,Crossfire etc (too complicated for me) :(

Things Im looking for:

1. Decent resolution monitor preferably about 17'' to 21''. If can cheap :[
2. Windows 8.1 OS
3. Wireless adapter as i wont be using cable

I have a budget of about 1.2k but can be adjusted if need to.

Thank you very much

equivalent to 7870 is the amd r9 270 or geforce 660

Actually there is quite a few variations of 7870

R9 270 is not equivalent to a 7870. r9 270x then would be equivalent to a 7870 ghz edition.

7850/GTX650ti boost/r9 270 < 7870 < r9 270X/7870 ghz edition/GTX660 < 7870 Tahiti version

R9-270/R9-270X/HD 7870 GHz Edition are all from the same family, having identically enabled units on the chip. The only differences between them are in shader clock and memory clock speed. Differences are as such:

HD 7870 GHz Edition: 1 GHz shader clock, no shader clock boost, 1.2GHz memory clock

R9-270: 0.9 GHz shader clock, 25 MHz shader clock boost, 1.4 GHz memory clock

R9-270X: 1 GHz shader clock, 50 MHz shader clock boost, 1.4 GHz memory clock

So essentially you can treat all of them the same (since it is uncommon to have different models having just differences in clock speeds). And i would advise all getting the cheapest possible among these 3 models since you can basically overclock the cheapest part to the higher end one (R9-270X), saving yourself a heap ($50-75) of cash for other upgrades. Meanwhile, you may also argue that R9-270X has a higher OC potential than R9-270 but review sites have shown the differences between max OCed speed stays within 5%.
