Hi all,

I have a 2nd hand system from a former here and as specs follow :

CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1090T
CPU fan: Coolermaster Hyper 212 Plus
Motherboard : Gigabyte 890FXA-UD5
GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket AM3 - GA-890FXA-UD5 (rev. 3.0)

Casing: Coolermaster CM690 II
Ram:3 x DDR3-1333 4GB
Aglity 64GB ssd with 1TB Green WD
LeakTek TV2100 Card
PSU :Thermaltak 630w Smart
Lite on DVDRW Drive

Question is :

When i install os through DVD rom, the win7 setup very very slow. from one page to next i meant.

the first blue screen takes abt 7 mins to load , then next another 5 mins...

when the windows is copy the files to hdd...takes very long to go next line...

but after installation . the speed of the machine is quite and that include boot up. any reason why like that?:s11:

i even tried install windows XP also same after copy the files and stuck .

i also swap the cd drive from another system. same

when install Finnish windows 7 (takes me an hour) no problem and quite fast....

i even do video encoding from rmvb to mp4 faster then my older x2 machine....

only installation slow....

Probably hardware detection takes time. Take out the tv card and see how

have you tried using USB thumbdrive instead? its much faster.


If you burn the dvd yourself, you will error. You need to use this tool to make your disc/usbdrive bootable OS.

Microsoft Store

and yes, its free from Microsoft themselves.

you need the image file(.iso) of the windows version you need(eg: windows 7 professional 64bit.iso....etc)

check your HDD or SSD?
or Swap the Sata cable for the HDD or SSD?

Did u plug ur sata cables into intel sata ports or asmedia/3rd party ports? Check ur manual to see if have or not....

an easy way out ... you only install once... :)

better to use thumbdrive to install .. do that for the next install

dunno why it affects. but i rem floppy being one of the few main culprits for slow screen-to-screen progress during win7 & vista install.

problem should be resolve...

disable a drive in bios plus resit ram...

cos previous owner install ram in slot 3 n4 ...should be 1 n 3 or 2 n4...

but question :

anything to disable? or i should change?

what is gsata? what is esp? :s12:
