Hi, my mum dropped her iPhone 5S and the touchscreen is not responding at all. Restarting does not work.

Is there any way I can make a backup to iTunes without the touch screen? Current problem is I need to click "Trust" which I am unable to do so. Phone is now stuck in the lock screen I can't even unlock at all.

Another issue is, I'm thinking of changing the LCD screen, but before that how can I make sure it is really the touchscreen that is spoilt and not the motherboard or some connector somewhere?

Thanks in advance.

Any warranty with it still? if do, approach the respective agent you purchase from, they might be able to back-up for you on their side and transfer it to your new refurbish phone. if not, got to wait for others to advise you~

Do a hard reset by holding down the home and power button for 5 secs, than proceed from there

Yup still within warranty. Guess I have to try the service centre. Thought they don't provide backup services so kind of reluctant to find them.

Screen looks okay except some regular spaced vertical strips which appear momentarily when screen is switched on. Maybe I'll try opening up and see if any connections are loose before going down to service centre.

As long as they can't see that its dropped before, shouldn't be a problem! Anyway i know Singtel do back-up and transfer for you, but it solely depends on whether the counter staff is willing to help you or not because its quite troublesome for them :s22:
