I went for a jog with my headphones plugged into my iPhone 6 Plus.

After the jog, I removed my headphones from the headphones jack but my iPhone still detects that a headphone is plugged in!

Checked the web for solutions and I've tried blowing into the jack, using tissues to clean the jack and to repeatedly take out and put in my headphones - all to no avail.

Did anybody encounter a similar experience? Voice out to tell me how you solved the issue. Cheers!

u can try to use a tooth pick to clean any debris stuck in the jack...after do a soft reset and see if it works.

Possibly water damage at the earphone jack from sweat. Kena this before on my ip4. Tried the cotton bud method to clean the jack to no avail. It was after a few hours then the phone returned to normal on its own. Try waiting for a while longer

One thing to note - try not to use thos wd40 or similar contact cleaner, in case the liquid indicator is triggered

try cleaning the charging port.

happened on my iP4 before.

veey unlikely for moisture to enter the headphone port when the jack is in.

had the exact same problem with my iPhone 6. brought it to plaza sing and they graciously did a one to one exchange for me, after no water damage was found (though I thought I remembered spilling a bit of water on it before this problem came).
