any way to fix this? Basically it's a spring mechanism, supposedly to lock & unlock at a push. however, now the lock is unable to work at all and the cpu filter piece keep popping out

Good idea, but it'll be of more hassle to take out in future (have to open side casing to push out the front from behind)

anyway a kind bro have shared (in another thread) some useful infos, thanks all

Use penknife cut both side, the thing can then come out. Gotta destroy it to get it out.
New one just push in until click-lock.
