Had been using this baby for more than 3years.It used to work for me very well when playing dota and using programmes like autocad.

Performance is not as good as last time, boot up slow and lags when I play game.Cant bear to throw or sell it away.

Is there a way to salvage my lappy?
Upgrade ram?

Lost puppy here.

When is the last time you format your comp? Try doing a fresh install of your OS first?

I can't think of any reason the hardware will slow down, it usually just dies.

Few options:

1) Reformat your software - Free

2) Upgrade RAM and/or SSD. Upgrading SSD improves speed tremendously cost you $200-$300. If you want premium SSD, it can go up to $1k.

3) Clean your laptop fan, redo the thermal paste, clean up the heatsink. This will help to prevent overheating and lengthen the lifespan of your laptop. :)
