[Help] Micro ATX build for light gaming

Im looking to build a desktop (small size, preferably micro atx) work and some light gaming (L4d2, csgo). My budget is around $800nego, for the system itself.

i checked other threads and couldn't find much ppl using mATX build)

Pls advise what i should go for. Thanks!

It's basically the same specs. Higher price as itx stuff are lesser and generally more expensive. Hence, more expensive overall cost for the same thing. Light gaming is confirm can but also see what kind of title you planning to play. You can go YouTube see how Pentium G4560 and gtx 1050 ti perform in gaming. It's not bad to be honest, though not the best value but we are all bound by budget at the end of the day.

i can stretch my budget to 1k

Why don't you search for a case that you like first?
Small for others doesn't mean it will be small enough for you.

I'll recommend you stick to matx as there is additional pcie slot in case you wanted to add in wifi etc.

Jonsbo make some casing that can mount itx/matx board. Maybe you can start from them.

PSU needs to change to SFX type unless you using m-atx case for itx mobo.

Basically i consolidated the info and chose below,

Case: Silverstone SG05BB-LITE - $60+ (cheaper)
MBO: MSI H110i PRO-AC
CPU: Pentium G4560 (better valued den Intel i3-6100 3.7Ghz)
RAM Kingston DDR4 2133 CL15 8GB Single - $85
PSU Seasonic 520W M12-II-520 (chose it cos cheaper and more watt) - $90

im undecided for the GPU. ZOTAC GTX1050 2GB or Sapphire Nitro+ RX 480 4GB
which is a better value GPU?

Yes it can. Up to 6 display (depending on what resolution are those) using display ports. Typically, 3x 1080p monitors is fine.

can consider getting ryzen 1700/1800 if u are not OC. and for the mobo can consider x370 or b350 (depends on how much budget u willing to put for the upgrades.

next is the casing you using also need to consider the type of board u should be getting to fit.

5 months and counting. So far so good. I'm not sure how long can it last tbh

I can support pcie m.2 ssd although its capped at gen2 x4 speeds. Current max speed is gen3 x4.

If you have the $$, can go for it although u wun really see the diff.
