Help: motherboard spoil?

As my graphics card fan was making sound, I took out the card and reseat the fan. After putting back the card, my PC totally cannot power up, power supply fan not running also.

I took out the card and use mobo inbuilt graphics, also no power, psu and cpu and casing fan all not running..

So I took out the mem, cpu, hdd cables and all cables to the mobo except the atx cable (20 pin one) and the power sw cable (2-pin), also cannot, psu fan also not running.

Finally I disattach the psu, try power up and jump pin 14 (green) with a black pin (per Google how to test psu), and the psu fan runs... So not psu spoil...

Does this mean my mobo spoil already? How to check if mobo faulty?

So sad why after take out graphics and put back will spoil mobo, maybe short circuit? ((

not worth the effort. u got spare set? warranty? motherboard got light? if dont have time to change board

Clean the gold contact on the graphic card and ram modules using an eraser, motherboard don't malfunction just because you re-seat the graphic card without doing anything electronically wrong.

Poor contact of the graphic card or ram module will result in failed POST.

You can try re-seating the power connectors on MB and see if the PSU fan will spin. If not, then time to change MB.

if LED and other components seems to be right, maybe check and see if the dust is pile up around components or the soldering pins...sometimes dust will lead to current leak and make the motherboard fail to start...

hi guys, thanks for the help.. finally i believe it is the mobo that is spoil!!
so i spent quite alot, bought new mobo with cpu and memory and it works!

but the cpu fan keep running at full speed (very noisy!!), and when i check it is always at 69-70 degree Celsius... any recommendations on what to get to cool down the cpu more? i am using the default cpu cooler and fan...

Two possibility that this can happen that I can think of is that your cpu cooler heatsink you did not mount it properly to the cpu hence it is loose and this causes the high temp. Remount it properly and reapplied thermal paste temp will be fine at idle 30-40.

Another cause is that your cpu could be processing some programs or running something in the background hence the high temp. Check task manager see the cpu usage percent see if 0 or very high percent. If high percent try close all background running program and see if temp go back to normal.

The Intel stock cooler is rubbish. You can consider an AIO, Corsair being the popular choice.

Bought a Cosair H60 today, afraid that it won't fit into my ATX casing.. luckily it fitted just nice!!

It is great!! Very quiet and running below 60 degree Celsius when playing game!!! First time using water cooling... shoik!!
