Hi all my mobo and ram died on me. Should I get the Aftershock rig or custom fit another rig ?

Be aware:
1. You'll want dual channel RAM 2X8GB not only a single 8gb stick
2. Intel stock cooler CMI and is loud

The Zotac has no fan off capability and gets loud under load. That's why it's cheap.

Hihi so you mean 2x 4gb ram ? From what I know you can't customise those ready to ship rig from Aftershock ? If Intel is bad which would be a wiser choice? AMD ? Ryzen?

a few things you might want to note:
1. If you are worried about fan sound, can give them a call to check if they have this exact product at their showroom, go there and see if its at a level that affect you
2. Can ask them through phone if its 2x4gb or 1x8gb. 1x8gb is fine. u can buy a separate 8gb stick to put in at a later time if u need. But if its 2x4gb and the mobo only has 2 slot (which i checked, h310 asrock only has 2 slots), might be limiting.
3. The price of the package seems to be worth it, with consolidated warranty for all the parts. But one thing to note is that the Windows is Unactivated

If below 1k just buy at AS , doubt u can get something better in SLS

imho its pretty worth it for its price. but what will you do with your current rig?

if its ur mobo/ram issue, getting a new mobo+ram, u probably can reuse the rest of your parts. do you want to look into repairing your rig? if yes could you post the parts and let us see?

zotac 750? lol during 700 series i heard zotac had alot of issues. ur one can last 6 yr is gan power.

Option 1:

u alr have a hdd/ssd/psu/case.

so in this case u can just look at buying mobo+CPU+ram,

and can squeeze in a gpu upgrade if u want.

this route is only if you are willing to spend the time to clearly determine if your motherboard or your ram is spoilt. then followed by the effort needed to DIY.

if it seems like it is too much work, its better to just get the aftershock built pc and buy a cheap windows license.

your old rig just transfer ur hdd/ssd over then the rest of the part sell on carousell etc
