If you terminate the card, you should be able to reverse the AF. The AF is for advance payment.

But after terminate, you must have another card to absorb the uni$.

Annual Fee.

Relax lah. Most cards can waive one. I got so many cards. Most got waived except from OCBC.

You heard of uni$ that got confisticated without courtesy? Main card holder mati and card got terminated immediately. However sup card was allowed to carry on indefinitely or so it seem. When sup card wanted to redeem points, it is not allowed. At that point, all uni$ gone and sup card terminated.

The supp card continuing on is a bank error if the main card has been terminated, bank probably didn't pick it up until someone in ops investigated the error with regards to uni$

But if the main card passes not just the uni$ what happens to miles in his krisflyer? I assume all would be taken up too.

Bank's error? Unlikely. The bank has on its own found that main card holder was gone and in no time unilaterally terminated the card (except the sup card). The sup card holder was in a way conned to keep spending and accumulating uni$ that would ultimately be confiscated at point of redemption. All the uni$ was earned by sup card as main card, for name sake, spent nothing.

There is a expired date. Not sure if this is your case.

My workscope (Bank system projects) sometime covers the retail banks credit card systems, the main card to supp linkage is shockingly bad especially legacy accounts where there may have been migrated from another system. These kind of issues happen all the time.

I'm not 100% sure I can check with my bank contact, but the mechanism in place is that the main card holder is ultimately liable and kind of "grantee's" the spending made by the Sup card holder. If the main card holder is gone the primary agreement is considered null which is the premise that the supp card is issued on.

It depends on your expenditure on that card.

If you spend above a certain annual amount, it's easier to waive. Sometimes if expenditure on that card is too little, it's common they refuse to waive.
