[Help] Mysterious call?

I don't have caller id but a number showed up on my phone when I got a call from this number 85075398. Caller called me 4 times so far, finally called back out of curiosity, foreign speaking dude, told him he got the wrong number and hung up. Is this a scam?

My advice is don't pick up any number you don't recognize. Then save that number in contacts and use Whatsapp to see the profile picture to see whether it is someone you know. This is applicable if it is someone legit trying to reach you or scammer using abandoned foreigner's SIM card to call

If person don't have whatsapp account, quite likely is scammer because it is unimaginable for a Singaporean not to have whatsapp unless you are talking about senior citizens

I answered once, and now I'm receiving at least 10 such calls on a daily basis

I don't use WhatsApp. I installed if briefly but I don't like the incoming noisy messages.

Anyway to TS, you should have asked for more information. Hopefully it's not someone you know.

There is no way the caller can scam you without divulging other information.

No problem with my Pixel phone.

I rarely getting spam calls and SMS. Zero in some months.

Not every phone has a built in spam call blocker.

Today morning, I received a spam call from Singapore High Court regarding a summon offence and I added this number to my phone's block lists.
