I'm still using my antique PC with AMD Phenom X4 945 built 5 years ago, now I think it's time to retire it for good.:s22:

I use my desktop for various things:
- Photo editing (500-1000 photos monthly, using Photoshop & Lightroom)
- Autocad drawing viewing
- Multi-layer PDF viewing
- Internet browsing
- Movies, mp3s
- Gaming (CS, Diablo 3, Football Manager)

I'm not too sure whether to go for a i5 or i7 system based on my usage. I don't overclock and hopefully this new system can last me for another 4-5 years. :s13:
I prefer a mAtx casing to save some space, with USB access on the top. So some help is appreciated.

Below are something I come up with, the price are referenced from PC Themes. Will I get a better price at Tradepac? Budget $1.8-2k, OS, keyboard, mouse, monitor not required.

MSI B150M Mortar + i5 6600 / i7 6700 - $491 / $629
Kingston Hyper Fury 2400MHz CL15 2x8GB - $199 (will get from Sitex if cheaper)
MSI GTX970 Gaming - $589
Superflower Leadex Silver 550W - $119
Samsung Pro 256GB SSD - $199 (previous Comex price)
WD Blue 1TB - $77 (2TB at $118 from fuwell)
Fractal Design Arc Mini R2 - $129

i5 / i7
Total: $1803 / $1941

Thanks in advance.

Nice. Thanks.
Any reason for Gigabyte over MSI for MB? I previously choose MSI bcos the brand haven't failed on me before while Gigabyte died twice. :s22:

Some question on Lazada:
1. For Lazada discount, cannot select COD right?
2. Can I choose self collection to save delivery fee?

For its feature set (M.2, Intel LAN, etc..). If not then consider MSI B150M BAZOOKA or MORTAR
Yup strictly no discount for CoD
I don't think can override the delivery...

I see.

I haven't used shopback.sg or lazada before, so correct me if I'm wrong below. :)

I shop thru shopback.sg for deals on lazada, i get 5% cashback on electronics. If I use the relevant lazada promo codes, I can get additional discount applicable on lazada. Correct?

Yup, shopback will rebate the % cashback based on the final amount paid during checkout.
