Help need on my rig

Hi guys, here to ask for help yet again. Hope you guys can help me with this issue. Not sure if this is the right place to post this thread.

Long story short, my previous GC (Radeon HD 6850) burnt off alr, so robbed my brother's one (exactly the same) to plug onto my rig. But the funny thing is, when I plug it into the x16 PCIe port and boot up my rig, the GC fan starts running which I assume it means its is in play. But my com doesn't detect any graphics cards or new devices under device manager.

So tried to troubleshoot, realised that the 6-pin PCIe connector is unplug. And when I plug it in, my com shuts down immediately and doesn't boot up unless it is unplugged.

What could be the reason for this? Puzzling that the same GC can have diff behavior.

*also my previous GC has 2 off 6-pin PCIe connector as compared to my brother's one which only has 1.

may i know your parts list?

as for why it does not boot up could be probably some parts got pull off or maybe the psu connections loose on the mobo?

Parts list:
Mobo: Biostar H61MHB B3 (quite an old pc)
PSU: FSP 400W
HDD: Samsung 1TB

Hmm...so meaning my mobo not good or?

Nope, no issue with Intel HD Graphics, in fact currently my rig running on that. I don't really play intensive high graphic games but just that the graphics card put there also wasted might as well see if can use

well what i means is that they could be some possibilities that your psu cable is loose that causes it or might be your psu isnt that good any more.

well do u still have another working build to test or leftover parts from your brother pc that can be reuse to test which parts of your pc is unable to work.

Try use ur brothers psu to boot

just unplug the psu and put it into ur case, just like how u remove the gpu from his com
