can you handle reading marx, weber, durkheim (and those are easy), and then graduate on to reading foucalt, wallerstein, bourdeiu and other contemporary thinkers? If your intention is to really help the poor and downtrodden, social work or counseling might be a better fight

Can you handle Plato, Descartes, Leibniz, Locke, Hume, Kant, Schopenhauer, Nietzsche, Heidegger, Wittgenstein?

TS need to be a speed reader and good in english writing, that means score 1300 in SAT.

I did SAT and minor in pysocology for fun before. what i can share is, not knowing the "crazy" theo and names is small issue. but not being able to read fast enuff to complete a journal assignment writing is a killer.

I completed 30 books in 2 days, excluding 10 journal research just to complete a monthly assignment for 2000 words. what did i score? 67/100. grammer minus 5 marks

best that TS get a Adv dip from local poly and then do distance learning degree slowly from a reputable university overseas
