HELP needed on smoking hard disk

Saw smoke coming out from my Seagate Desktop HD just now.
Immediately unplugged it to wait for the smoke to clear then plug in to my laptop and whole HD is not responsive.
Is there anyway to salvage the data inside?

Woah...how the hell u got smoke on HDD???anyway check your PCB and connector at the back of the HDD is there is anything melt or burn?

But I still doubt u can do anythingvti salvage the data since the DMG to the HDD is already with smoke.

HDD recovery is very expensive can cost up to thousands.

Probably componment on the logic board burnt. Try to move it and find out which componment. It may be easy repair and need no data recovery.

HDD internals wouldn't smoke IMHO. It's probably the logic board or connector. Shouldn't be too expensive to recover the data by replacing the part.

Might be possible to buy an identical drive and swap the logic board.
