Hi I'm still fairly new in deciding parts, so wanna consult if this build is possible or if there is any improvements that can be made.

MB: Asus Prime Z370-A
Processor: i5 - 8400
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB DDR3 1600 (is it worth to use DDR4?)
GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1080 Ti
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 80+ GOLD 650W Fully Modular
SSD: Samsung EVO 250GB
HDD: Using old 1TB
Case: Corsair Carbide Series 200R Black Steel

I've checked from newegg/SL prob cost approx 2.2k w shipping cost included

It is worth using DDR4, trust me...
because DDR3 is not supported anymore

Translation: You can't use DDR3 on Z370/Intel 8th-gen/CoffeeLake motherboards

What an expensive motherboard for such a mediocre cpu. Asus is charging a super premium for z370 board even for entry level ones. Suggest you get from MSI.

Corsair Carbide 200R. Pretty old design already. Why not get the newer Fractal Design Focus G? Cheaper, with window, comes with 2 white led fans too.

An alternative to an equally good psu at cheaper price and longer warranty is Seasonic Focus Plus series. Check it out.
